We take a pretty laid back approach to counseling. We understand the importance of building rapport with our clients and earning their trust.
We utilize CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) techniques and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). We are always open to exploring and using other techniques if our clients have a preference or curiosity. We attend a lot of trainings every year and always try to keep up with what is popular and most effective.
We do have certain expectations for our clients and ask that they come to counseling prepared to work. In order for us to be able to help someone they have to be motivated and willing to push themselves. We have to get a bit uncomfortable before we can find some peace. All we ask is that our clients be open to some initial discomfort and be really ready to work on themselves and make a commitment to counseling.
